  7. The information about genre tells me that film production is the biggest genres are making the most films and film audiences is that films are mainly released to appeal to the youths.
Audience
  1. The age group that went to the cinema most is 15-24 years old.
  2. The most successful comedy film with that age group was Hangover part 3.
  3. The films that were most popular with the age group of over 50s was Quartet, Philomena and Les miserables.
  4. The genres that were most popular with men were Thriller, Action and Comedy.

  6. UK films appealed mostly to females.
  7. The three films that were most popular to the age group of 7-14 was Wreck it Ralph, Despicable me 2, and One direction, This is us.
  8. I think the reason why Frozen, The Croods and Jack and the Giant slayer had a popular age group of 35-44 is because these are the parents who took their kids to watch the films, Therefore this contributes to the view count of the adults who watched these films as well.
  9. The 3 films that were most popular with the 25-34 age group were Django unchained, Fast and furious 6 and Rush.
  10. The films that were most popular with the middle class audience (C1 and C2) were Rush, Captain Phillips, Gravity, OZ Great and powerful, F&f 6 and Despicable me 2.
  11. Most popular films in London:
  • Django Unchained
  • Fast and Furious 6
  • Gravity
Most popular films in Scotland:
  • Sunshine on leith
  • Filth
  • Star Trek into Darkness
Looking at the different films popular in both regions clearly indicates the difference in genre preference, despite the advertisements etc. The films/genre depends on the individuals themselves and what interests and entertains them.
