Target audience survey

Below are 4 of the profiles of the people that took part in my questionnaire, along with some screen grabs and a conclusion of my findings.

Person 1:

• Female, 
• Aged 15 or younger, 
• Favourite genre is horror,
• They like the build up of tension in horror films,
• They like to see a hero,
• They like to see relatable locations such as schools or shops.

Person 2:

• Male,
• Aged 15 or younger,
• His favourite genre of film is thriller,
• He finds thrillers entertaining,
• He likes to see the villain of the story,
• He likes to see made up locations,

Person 3:

• Male,
• Aged 51+,
• He likes musicals as he enjoys singing and playing instruments and has an interest in music,
• He likes the main character and relating to them,
• He likes to see films set in places close to home also.

Person 4:

• Female,
• Aged 16-18,
• Her favourite genre of film is action because they like the excitement that comes with action, they find that they stay interested and enjoy the 'rush',
• They like to see the hero of the story,
• She likes to see films set in city locations such as New York, London etc.

In conclusion, I found that most people that took part in my survey enjoy horror movies the most, and when asked why they like this genre discuss the feeling of being on edge and anticipating what comes next. I also found that the majority of people questioned like seeing the villain or 'bad guy' in films as it offers a problem for the main characters.
